English is definitely not a boring language when it comes to negative prefixes. You have a whole array of them to choose from: il, in, ir, im, un, dis, non and more. And if choosing the right prefix to precede the adjective wasn’t tricky enough, you have some adjectives that change meaning depending on which prefix you choose. For instance, if you are uninterested, you are simply not interested in something, whereas when you’re disinterested, you are impartial or unbiased.
But don’t get put off. Like with everything else, practice is the key. Do the quiz first to test your knowledge of negative prefixes and dig into the communicative part for some more, engaging practice. Enjoy!
